Moneywort (Creeping Jenny, Lysimachia nummularia)
Many ground covers, by their very nature, fall into the category of Creeping Jenny plants where there is a thin line between friend and foe. Plants that are useful for covering banks or unattractive, “tricky” regions may also be prone to quickly colonising new areas and smothering anything in its path.
The Primulacea family’s glossy, evergreen Creeping Jenny will soon spread a carpet of low-growing wandering stems clad in pairs of zingy, lime-green oval leaflets.
